Pool Rules

For those of you who don't know how this pool works, the concept is simple. You "purchase" a team of PGA Tour professionals, keeping the total cost of the team under the $20 million limit. The "cost" of a player is equal to his 2006 PGA Tour Earnings. So, for example, Vijay Singh will set you back $4,602,416.

Each week, a PGA player earns points according to his finish in the week's event:

1st - 15 points
2nd - 12 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 8 points
5th - 6 points
6th - 5 points
7th - 4 points
8th - 3 points
9th - 2 points
10th - 1 point

Points are doubled for the Players Championship, Masters, US Open, British Open, PGA Championship, Canadian Open and Tour Championship. Points are not divided up in the event of ties. For example, in the event of a 3 way tie for second, all 3 players would receive 12 points.

Points for all the players on your team are totalled. The highest point earners earn cash prizes. The entry fee is $25. This pool is non-profit. 100% of the money is paid out.

100% of monies collected will be paid out as prizes. The prize money is divided into 5 "sub-pools" as follows:

80% - End of Year Payouts
5% - First Quarter Payouts
5% - Second Quarter Payouts
5% - Third Quarter Payouts
5% - Fourth Quarter Payouts

Quarterly Payouts
The top two finishers in each quarter are paid as follows:

1st place - 75%
2nd place - 25%

End of Year Payouts

The payouts are intentionally "top heavy" because we believe, like a big 6/49 jackpot, a large top prize will attract the most entrants. The top ten overall finishers at year's end are paid as follows:

1st place - 45.0%
2nd place - 22.5%
3rd place - 12.0%
4th place - 7.0%
5th place - 4.5%
6th place - 3.0%
7th place - 2.0%
8th place - 2.0%
9th place - 1.0%
10th place - 1.0%
